Facebook launches new messaging service

A next-generation online messaging service has been launched by Facebook that includes facebook.com email addresses, AFP has reported. The messaging service blends online chat, text messages and other real-time conversation tools with traditional email, which Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said had lost favour for being too slow for young Internet users. The new messaging system, referred to inside the California-based firm as "Titan," will be slowly rolled out in coming months to users.
